KURZ® MNP – Malleus Notch

For those surgeons that want to preserve the malleus and help its stable coupling to the implant, the KURZ® MNP was developed.

The MNP’s concave recess helps to facilitate simultaneous contact between the malleus handle and tympanic membrane, thereby provide good stability. The slimmer profile and fenestrated head plate also provides good placement visibility during surgery.

Made from Pure Titanium (ASTM F67 Medical Grade). MR conditional for the future: 7.0 Tesla

MNP Partial Prosthesis

• Concave recess to interface with malleus handle
• Available from 1.75-3.50mm (in .25mm increments) giving a functional length options of 0.75-2.50m
• Slimmer profiled, fenestrated head plate
• Conically shaped bell: optimally adapts to the stapes head
• Recessed slots allow adequate space for the stapedius tendon
